Laboratory

reNEW provides state-of-the-art technology platforms for its researchers. The platforms are staffed with established technology experts providing training, on-instrument support, and experimental design support. Certain platforms are operated in collaboration with our sister center CPR and, in part, with ICMM. All scientific platforms are accessible to University of Copenhagen (UCPH) research groups and external users as capacity allows. We enable internal recharging systems for UCPH groups and provide access for external users in cooperation with UCPH finance.

The Flow Cytometry Platform is a shared resource laboratory operated jointly by the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Medicine (reNEW) and the NNF Center for Protein Research (CPR). The facility has state-of-the-art equipment and software for cell sorting and analysis, and provides training, support, and expertise to researchers at reNEW, CPR, and their affiliates and collaborators at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and the greater Copenhagen area.

The Genomics Platform offers next-generation sequencing (NGS) support and service based on Illumina and Oxford Nanopore technologies. Applications include bulk sequencing (RNA, CHIP, ATAC, Cut &Tag), single-cell sequencing (RNA and multiome), CRISPR screens, and more. As a shared resource co-funded by reNEW, CPR, and ICMM, the Genomics Platform provides high-throughput tailored sequencing service and operates as a train-to-sequence and ready-to-sequence service. Users are trained to prepare their sequencing libraries with the help of the expert staff present on the platform. The Genomics Platform is located physicall at reNEW, on the 5th floor (06.5.06).

The Imaging Platform provides state-of-the-art light microscopy equipment, project consulting, assay design, image analysis, training, and assistance as required for research scientists to visualize and measure fluorescently labeled structures in cells and tissues. Support in a wide range of light microscopy applications, such as widefield and confocal microscopy and high throughput and high content screening is offered, and quantitative image and data analysis is an integral part of the imaging pipeline. The platform also helps users to develop novel image analysis tools. reNEW and CPR share expertise of microscopy and image and data analysis specialists for excellent platform support.
