Our speaker, Dr. Phaedria St. Hilaire, is CEO and Chief Consultant at P M Consulting, Owner and Business Angel Investor at Purple Orchid, and Co-Founder of ProWoc (Professional Women of Colour Network).
Title of the talk: “Beyond diversity: shaping an inclusive culture in the workplace”
Abstract:
It is well established that diversity and inclusion in the workplace can lead to superior results, if the teams are well managed. During this talk we will explore the critical distinction between diversity and inclusion and discover how inclusion drives innovation and collaboration.
We will discuss the role of inclusive leadership in promoting inclusion, and present practical strategies and actionable insights on how to cultivate a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.

Dr. Phaedria Marie St.Hilaire

Dominican born Science Business Leader with 25 years experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries and a passion for people development and making change. She has a proven track record of inspiring and driving cross functional, multicultural teams to deliver results from her leadership positions at global companies like Carlsberg and Novo Nordisk; and from the non-profit organization, ProWoc (Professional Women of Colour Network) she co-founded in 2019.
Phaedria is passionate about diversity, inclusion and belonging, and changing the gender and race narrative. She strives to incorporate these principles in an inclusive leadership practice and her everyday professional and personal undertakings. She has been nominated for Nordic Diversity Awards and in March 2024 was awarded the ProWoc Impact Award for her global work within D&I. She believes in empowerment of self and others, continuous learning, self-reflection, and reinvention and is also Mentor and Certified Executive Coach from Henley Business School. She is a Business Angel Investor and was selected as one of the 10 most inspiring Business Angels in Denmark in 2023 and received the Cross-Border Angel Award in 2024.
In addition to a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Phaedria holds a degree in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and is a skilled project manager with a LEAN 3 Star/6 Sigma Black belt certification. She is also certified to serve on Boards from Niels Brock Business School and is currently a board member of Crossing Borders, an advisory board member of DivERS and a Strategic Advisor to ProWoc.
Phaedria has over 45 publications and 5+ patent applications within Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Phaedria is a sought-after public speaker and storyteller, mainly on the topics of Inclusive Leadership, Gender Equality, DEIB, Career Reinvention and Transformations, Entrepreneurship, Impact Investing and has spoken globally on these topics.
