Explore stem cell research through our ARTxSCIENCE touring exhibition

ARTxSCIENCE

Have you ever stopped because an image captured your attention? Vivid colors and unexpected shapes draw you in, before you realise that what you are looking at are stem cells. ARTxSCIENCE invites you to explore the hidden beauty of science and uncover the stories behind the images that are shaping tomorrow’s medicine.

We are pleased to launch this year’s ARTxSCIENCE touring exhibition, sharing the work of our researchers to audiences across Denmark and abroad.

Our annual ARTxSCIENCE competition supports this mission by inviting researchers to submit a scientific image accompanied by a lay-friendly text. These images reveal the hidden beauty of stem cells while explaining the ideas, questions, and potential behind the research and how it potentially may shape tomorrow’s medicine. Through this initiative, our scientists help bridge the gap between research and the public.

In 2024, we expanded this initiative by launching our first touring exhibition featuring the 12 finalists of the competition. The exhibition travelled across Denmark, from museums and universities to galleries, town halls and even Folkemødet. It introduced thousands of visitors to stem cell research in a new and inspiring way and demonstrated a strong interest from the public.

Building on this success, we are delighted to continue the ARTxSCIENCE exhibition tour this year with the most recent finalists. With this exhibition, reNEW aims to spark curiosity, broaden public awarenes of stem cell research and inspire future scientists.

The exhibition is bilingual (Danish/English) and will appear at several venues across Denmark and abroad throughout the year. You can explore the full list of locations on this page. In some of the place, we will also host an event. Keep an eye on the agenda for more information.

reNEW is an international partnership dedicated to advancing breakthrough stem cell research with the aim of developing future therapies for complex and incurable diseases. A part of our mission is to make this research accessible and easier to understand for the general public.
